Oct 17, 2011 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Ural Airlines has now taken leave of its last remaining Soviet-built aircraft.
Last of three to go was a TU-154 operating its last flight on October 16, 2011.
The carrier, based in Yekaterinburg, is instead building up an all-Airbus fleet now comprising 13 Airbus A320 and five A321, and order have been placed for a further three Airbus A320 and four A321 aircraft.
Plans are also to add Airbus A330 aircraft from 2012, building the Airbus fleet to a total of over 30 units by 2015.
