Oct 11, 2011 (newstodate): Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport saw further growth in its cargo and mail volumes through September 2011.
A total of 8,893 tonnes of cargo and mail was handled at the airport in September, up 20.2 percent, y-o-y.
Totals included 6,036 tonnes of international cargo and mail, an increase by 26.8 percent, y-o-y, and 2,857 tonnes of domestic shipments, up 8.2 percent, y-o-y.
During January-September 2011, the airport's total volumes reached 70,567 tonnes, an increase by 14.4 percent, y-o-y, driven by an increase by 18.5 percent in international cargo and mail to 48,390 tonnes.
