Oct 21, 2011 (newstodate): Only in its first weeks of operation, Slovenia's new carrier Golden Air seems to have run into troubles.
Flights on the carrier's first route between Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport and London via Vienna International Airport opened on October 6, 2011, have been suspended due to a dispute with the lessor of the carrier's single aircraft, a Cessna 510 Citation.
Golden Air has now negotiated the lease of a Boeing 737-300 aircraft that will be introduced once the certification process has been completed.
Behind the airline venture is UK-citizen Harjinder Singh Sidhu who was also behind Air Slovakia, acquired in 2006 but gone bankrupt in 2010.
