Oct 14, 2011 (newstodate): New customer for Russia's Sukhoi Superjet 100 may be the country's Tatarstan Airlines, based at Kazan International Airport.
Negotiations between the carrier and the aircraft manufacturer are reportedly now in process, with Tatarstan Airlines intending to acquire two aircraft for delivery in 2012.
Tatarstan Airlines currently operates a fleet of 16 aircraft including two Airbus A319, five Boeing 737, five TU-154 and four YAK-42.
Orders have been placed for two CRJ-200 aircraft to be delivered by the end of 2011, and three Airbus A319 for delivery in 2012.
So far the Superjet 100 has booked 212 firm orders.
