Oct 07, 2011 (newstodate): Kazakhstan's Air Astana has opened a new aircraft maintenance center at Almaty Airport.
The new center will allow the carrier to perform structural repairs and component services comprising also engines, landing gear and propellers.
In addition to line maintenance, the new capability will aim at supporting the carrier in raising its punctuality and regularity.
Air Astana will also offer third-party services, and agreements have been signed with carriers including KLM, Transaero, CSA, Turkish Airlines and Air Arabia.
