The low-cost carrier will reportedly base three to four aircraft at the airport to serve flights to up to 10-12 routes, later increasing to 10 aircraft serving up to 40 routes by 2017 - if warranted by the market.
The former Air Force Base is being redeveloped as a commercial airport located 40 km from Warsaw and to be equipped with two CAT II 2,500 m runways.
A new passenger terminal is under construction, and the airport designed to the capacity of handling up to 1.8 mio passengers annually will launch services from June 2012.
Also in the business plan for the airport are facilities for air cargo operations, and a master plan includes medium sized cargo facilities with direct access to railways and highways, and reserved sites for other potential industrial and semi-agricultural processing works.
