Oct 20, 2011 (newstodate): Air Berlin, soon to become member of the oneworld airline alliance, is sharpening its focus on the markets in eastern Europe.
In the coming winter schedule are flights from Vienna to new destinations Bucharest in Romania, Sofia in Bulgaria, and Belgrade in Serbia with up to three weekly rotations.
Air Berlin will also to offer a total of 50 weekly flights to Moscow and St Petersburg from Berlin, Dusseldorf, Munich, Stuttgart, Vienna and Salzburg.
And effective from May 1, 2012, Air Berlin will triple its frequency of flights to Krakow, and launch flights between Berlin and Gdansk.
