Oct 03, 2011 (newstodate): The Danish regional aircraft leasing company Nordic Aviation Capital has now firmed up its contract with ATR for the purchase of 10 ATR 72-600 and two ATR 72-500 aircraft, plus options for 10 additional ATR 72-600 aircraft.
The 10 firm ATR 72-600 and the options were previously inked at the Paris Air Show in June 2011, and now confirmed by the final contract signature.
With the additional two ATR 72-500 now unveiled, NAC will bring to 103 the total fleet of ATR aircraft in its portfolio.
Deliveries of these two ATR 72-500 aircraft are scheduled before the end of the year, and NAC will start receiving its ATR 72-600 aircraft in 2012.
Based at Billund Airport, NAC is the world's largest turboprop leasing company, currently holding a portfolio of some 170 aircraft, including the latest aircraft ordered.
