Oct 18, 2011 (newstodate): The Czech carrier CSA is intent on firming up its foothold on neighboring Slovakia's air transport market.
In the coming winter season starting from the end of this month, CSA will be operating a total of 16 weekly flights on routes between Bratislava and European destinations - only three less than during this summer season.
In addition, the carrier has filed applications for new permits to open eastward flights from Bratislava to yet-undisclosed destinations from next year.
Seeing a void in provision of flight connections in Slovakia, CSA launched a number of flights from its new hub at Bratislava Airport to destinations including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Paris, Rome and Cyprus starting from June 2011.
