Oct 12, 2011 (newstodate): The air transportation markets in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are growing at a fast pace in 2011.
Growth-wise, Estonia's Tallinn Airport tops the list of volumes of passenger during the first nine months of this year, growing by 38.1 percent, y-o-y.
Second comes Lithuania's Vilnius Airport that saw 16.3 percent more passengers during January-September 2011.
Latvia's Riga Airport comes last with 11 percent growth during the period.
In total volumes, Riga Airport, however, maintains its leading position in the region with 3.9 mio passengers thanks to its role as a regional hub with airBaltic as the central player.
Second in terms of passenger volumes comes Estonia's Tallinn Airport with 1.4 mio passengers in the period, follow by Lithuania's Vilnius Airport with 1.3 mio passengers.
