Jan 12, 2011 (newstodate): Ukrainean aircraft manufacturer Antonov will easily beat both Boeing and Airbus in projected output growth in 2011.
Antonov will rise production of aircraft by over 100 percent in 2011, compared to 2010.
Behind the impressive figure stands the fact, though, that the plant delivered four aircraft in 2010 and plans to finish nine in 2011.
In 2010 Antonov completed construction of two AN-148 and two AN-32 aircraft, and plans are to deliver five An-148, one An-158 and three An-32 aircraft this year.
In 2009 production was a round zero from Antonov.
