Jan 121, 2011 (newstodate): Ukraine is high on the radar screen of Turkish Airlines that would like to increase both number of destinations and frequencies significantly.
Under the current air services agreement, this would however require the permission by Ukraine's aviation authorities, and this has not yet been achieved.
On the wishing-list of Turkish Airlines are new flights from Istanbul to Kharkov and Zaporizhia, and the carrier would also like to rise weekly frequencies on routes from Istanbul to Kiev from five to 14 flights, to Donetsk from five to seven, to Dnepropetrovsk from four to seven, and to Odessa from seven to 14 flights.
Turkish Airlines now operates flights from Istanbul to Kiev, Donetsk, Lvov, Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa and Simferopol.
