Jan 26, 2011 (newstodate): Sweden's new ACMI and charter operations provider under formation, Swedish Moose is still on the tarmac pending the completion of its AOC application by the Swedish Transport Agency.
The company had high hopes for start of operations already before the end of 2010, but the review by the Agency's Civil Aviation Department has still not been completed.
-This case is actually proceeding quite normally, but there is as always a number of issues requiring further investigation before the case can be closed, says a Civil Aviation Department official.
-In any case I would say that the process is now about 70 percent finished, and we expect it to be finally completed within the first half of this year, at least.
In the meantime, little information about Swedish Moose has been released.
Managing the company, based at Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport, is Daniel Lundberg, and operations will be performed with leased Airbus A320 aircraft, with cockpit and cabin crews already in place.
