Jan 11, 2011 (newstodate): While still not officially settled, preliminary statistics from Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport confirm growth in cargo volumes in 2010.
Including import, export, flown and trucked air cargo shipments, the airport generated a total of 156,000 tonnes in 2010, an increase by 18 percent, y-o-y.
With air mail shipments included, the figure will reach about 174,000 tonnes in 2010.
-The Swedish export industry is continuing to be strong, and we expect good growth in 2011 as well. Not double digit figures, though, since we compare these figures with the crisis year 2009. But we believe growth figures will continue to be very positive for 2011, says Bjorn Ragnebrink, Swedavia Director Business Development Intercontinental Routes
