Jan 28, 2011 (newstodate): Air Partners Scandinavia was earlier this week behind a very special time-sensitive delivery from Luleaa Kallax Airport destined for France.
A Volga-Dnepr IL-76TD-90VD freighter was called in to take an 11 meter long high-value screw used in the production of paper packaging from a source at Piteaa, in Northern Sweden, to Bordeaux in France, and the operation was fully completed within 10 hours from final contracting to delivery at Bordeaux Airport.
-We were highly impressed by the immediate availability of all pertinent equipment including the hi-loader to lift the nine tonnes screw into the freighter as well as the airport handling staff's ingenuity in building the special casing to hold the shipment and its high level competence in the operation, says Roland Senften, Air Partners Scandinavia managing director.
-The operation was performed in cooperation with out colleagues at Air Partners in France, and this cooperation was also behind the ultra-short lead times in the entire process of obtaining the permissions and documentation needed to carry through this job.
-Active in the Scandinavian air broker market since 2007, Air Partners Scandinavia is now fully in place to go for its share in the full-service brokering market in Scandinavia and Finland, with so far three employees based at Malmo, Sweden, says Mr Senften.
