Jan 06, 2011 (newstodate): A new airline has seen daylight in Turkey.
Van Way Airlines Air Company, set up by Aslan Bayram, a Turkish businessman in East Anatolia's city of Van, will establish a network of flights connecting Van with other Turkish destinations as well as other destinations among which Yerevan, in Armenia, has been named.
The first flight is planned for Januar 15, 2011, with flights to Aytap, Trabzon and Ankara first on the list.
Among other international destinations is also Tehran, in Iran.
The set-up of the new carrier that will initially operate two ATR-42 aircraft has been supported by Turkish carriers Bora Jet and Anadolujet.
