Jan 04, 2011 (newstodate): Plans are progressing for construction of a large new transit cargo hub at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport.
Behind the project are the Russian partners Interros, Rosaviatsia and FCS that signed an MoU on December 20, 2010.
The new cargo complex will be designed to an annual handling capacity of 250,000 tonnes of cargo by 2017, primarily comprising transit and transfer cargo shipments.
The first phase of the new complex will be ready to launch operations from 2012.
