Jan 25, 2011 (newstodate): For the Russian carrier Polet Airlines, 2010 was a year of strong growth in cargo volumes.
A total of 49,421 tonnes of cargo was carried, an increase by 65.9 percent, y-o-y.
One workhorse was the carrier's AN-124-100 Ruslan that lifted 16,931 tonnes of cargo, but volumes were also boosted by the introduction, by mid-2010, of the new IL-96-400T freighter that lifted 32,182 tonnes of cargo.
