Jan 10, 2011 (newstodate): Lithuania's Vilnius Airport reports a significant improvement in cargo volumes in 2010.
A total of 5,292 tonnes of cargo was handled at Vilnius Airport, an increase by 22 percent, y-o-y.
Mail volumes grew only limited with five percent to 1,613 tonnes, but air cargo volumes rose by 31.5 percent during the year, to 3,679 tonnes.
December grew more moderately by 11.1 percent, y-o-y, to 531 tonnes with mail down 18 percent, while air cargo was up 25.5 percent, to 359 tonnes.
