Jan 11, 2011 (newstodate): The Latvian cargo agent Profi Lokistiks, set up in 2000 with HQ at Riga Airport, is again expanding its services.
Among the company's services are road feeder services for airline customers, and the company is now introducing airline trucking between Riga and Turkmenistan.
-In 2010 we recovered from the decline in 2009 and ended up on a par with volumes in 2008, and we are rather confident that 2011 will see a continuation of the positive trend, says Alexey Novikov, Profi Logistiks.
-In addition to airline trucking services, rail and sea cargo, we also provide apron cargo handling for Uzbek Airlines that is online at Riga Airport with flights from Tashkent continuing to New York, and, soon to come, Transaero at Riga Airport.
-Cargo consolidation takes place in the company's depot at Riga Airport, and the truck fleet is to be significantly expanded to include the new routes to Turkmenistan in 2011. We do not, however, operate own cargo terminals so we deliver the cargo between the aircraft and the cargo handling companies present at the airport, says Mr Novikov.
Profi Logistiks is also present in the Lithuanian market, with an office at Vilnius Airport.
