Jan 13, 2011 (newstodate): The Slovenian carrier Adria Airways is represented in the Indian market by its cargo GSA, MGM Global Air since September 1, 2010.
The carrier's cargo traffic between Europe and India is transferred through Frankfurt Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in inter-line cooperation with other carriers.
-The Indian market has responded positively to Adria Airways as it offers good connections and much needed additional capacity to destinations in Eastern Europe, says Gopal Krishan, MGM Global Air managing director and co-owner, formerly with SAS Cargo and later Austrian Airlines in Delhi.
The major commodities targeted by Adria Airways for its traffic to India are pharmaceuticals and spares.
Other off-line carrier served by MGM Global Air in India include Air Armenia and Air Moldova.
