Jan 26, 2011 (newstodate): Hopes for a new Transatlantic flight connection are running high in Serbia.
Serbia remains classified as a Cat 2 country barring its national carrier JAT from re-establishing air traffic into the US market with own aircraft.
Talks are now reportedly underway with the US carrier Ryan International Airlines, based in Kansas, USA, for direct flights between Belgrade and Chicago from this summer.
Ryan International Airlines operates a fleet comprising one Boeing 757-200, two Boeing 767-300 and four Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, with one Boeing 777-300ER aircraft ordered for delivery.
