Jan 19, 2011 (newstodate): With firm orders for delivery of 847 aircraft, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a successful project.
The overriding problem however remains the long series of delays encountered during the process, now running more than three years behind the original delivery schedule.
ANA is the first carrier to receive the Dreamliner, with first delivery originally slated for May 2008.
ANA will now have to wait again as the latest delivery date has been revised from Q1, 2011, to Q3, 2011, after the latest electrical problems encountered during the test flight program.
