Jan 25, 2011 (newstodate): The Danish carrier Cimber Sterling has been chartered to launch flights on a new route to Iran from summer.
Effective from March 15, 2011, Cimber will operate a weekly rotation between Copenhagen Airport and Tehran, using Boeing 737-700 aircraft on the route.
Behind the operation is the Malmo-based Tehran Travel Group that is responsible for sale of the seats that cannot thus be booked through other booking machines.
So far, plans are to operate only on a seasonal basis, till September 27, 2011.
