Jan 19, 2011 (newstodate): Damco Airfreight, a business unit within Denmark's A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, is building up its new air cargo organization.
Latest executive appointment is Ricardo van Duijkeren to become new Head of Airfreight for Europe, effective from February 1, 2011, after serving with Damco for four years as airfreight manager for the Netherlands.
In his new position, Mr van Duijkeren will be responsible for developing the Damco airfreight product as well as for defining and driving Damco's commercial over-all strategy on airfreight in Europe.
Mr van Duijkeren will report to Remo Eigenmann, since March 2010 serving as Damco Global Head of Airfreight.
Damco is in the process of extending its competence from customized sea-air solutions to further developing its airfreight products as well.
