Jan 07, 2011 (newstodate): Czech Airlines Cargo expects to see its e-freight business expanding in 2011, after the initial launch in December 2010.
-We are now ready at both Prague in the Czech Republic and in Bratislava, in Slovakia, and it is up to the players in the market to grow this new option, says Tomas Braun, CSA Cargo project manager.
-CSA itself does not operate long-haul flights, but we see also potentials for e-freight with other SkyTeam carriers including notably Delta Air Lines and Korean Air Cargo, both on-line at Prague. As a matter of fact I expect the first e-freight shipments on Delta Air Lines from Prague to New York within the next one or two months.
-The network of CSA itself comprises destinations in Russia and CIS states, but it will probably require a pretty long period before we could expect these markets to become e-fright capable. Instead our e-freight potentials will be more in the direction of markets like Bulgaria and Romania and Estonia, says Mr Braun.
