Jan 05, 2011 (newstodate): The Lika Region, in central Croatia, is mulling plans for construction of a new airport to boost the region's business and leisure traffic.
The region claims that the costs will be 60 percent financed by EU regional development funds.
While no further details on the plans are yet available, but there are already two other fully-equipped airports in the region, one small airport at Otocac and a second larger airport at Zadar, that could meet all requirements if optimized and redeveloped.
