Jan 13, 2011 (newstodate): Bulgarian capital will flow into a Russian airport to boost its development.
The Bulgarian investments are aiming at readying Kazan International Airport and Tatarstan's carrier Tatarstan Airlines for the 2013 University Games in Tatarstan.
The airport development project was already underway but was halted in 2009 by lack of state financing.
When the financing has been approved, plans are to build two new airport terminals at Kazan International Airport to rise annual handling capacity to 3,5 mio passengers.
Funds will also be channeled into Tatarstan Airlines to enhance its efficiency and service levels.
