Jan 06, 2011 (newstodate): While the image of the Airbus A380 has been flawed lately by Qantas' engine problems, Airbus can again draw a sign of relief by a new prestigious order.
The Korean carrier Asiana has placed a firm order for delivery of six Airbus A380 aircraft, with first delivery in 2014.
The airline plans to operate the aircraft with a premium layout on key routes to Europe and the US.
With this latest signature, Airbus has so far booked 240 orders from 18 customers worldwide.
