Jan 13, 2011 (newstodate): World Flight Services is now taking over its new second airfreight terminal at Copenhagen Airport from the construction companies.
The construction of the 3,000 sq m terminal has been completed on time, but winter weather conditions will delay the commissioning till March 1, 2011 as work still remains on the out-door surfaces.
The new terminal will boost WFS' annual cargo handling capacity at the airport by another 50,000 tonnes, in addition to the 60,000 capacity offered by the existing terminal that went operational in May, 2006.
The two terminals are designed to operate in parallel, each fully equipped to handling of all types of import and export shipments and each serving its own airline customers.
