Sep 14, 2010 (newstodate): Turkmenistan is to focus resources on construction of a new air cargo infrastructure at Ashgabat.
The plans are part of visions for turning Turkmenistan into an important international transport and logistics hub for handling cargo on flights between Ashgabat and Istanbul, Moscow, St Petersburg, Minsk and European destinations.
The president of Turkmenistan has thus instructed the country's vice-premier to oversee the planning and construction of a new air cargo terminal at Ashgabat Airport.
Coyne Airways is currently the single most important air cargo carrier operating at the Airport.
