Sep 27, 2010 (newstodate): Airbus may find a new customer for its A380 aircraft in Turkish Airlines.
The carrier is growing strongly in passenger volumes - up 20 percent, y-o-y, during the first eight months of this year - and has embarked on a massive strategy of expansion to bolster the position of the airline in the region and in Europe as well.
Currently operating a fleet of 142 aircraft, Turkish Airlines will increase the number to 184 aircraft by 2011.
So far the carrier has placed orders for 89 new aircraft for delivery over the coming few years.
