Sep 27, 2010 (newstodate): One airline offering transatlantic services from Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport is Continental Airlines - and plans are reportedly in the air for increased frequency from next summer.
Continental Airlines will operate two daily Boeing 757-200 flights between Oslo Gardermoen and New York Newark Airport in the next summer program, compared to daily flights during summer 2010.
Continental opened services to Oslo from June 18, 2004, as its launch of services to Scandinavia, later adding flights to Stockholm, Sweden, from June 3, 2005, and to Copenhagen, Denmark, from May 24, 2006.
The decision to double the volume of flights between Oslo and New York comes as the Norwegian carrier Norwegian is pushing its plans for opening flights on the same route - also from summer 2011.
