Sep 16, 2010 (newstodate): Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport's new perishables handling facility, APH Logistics is still not operating fully up to plans.
-The security approvals by the Swedish Transport Administration have still not been granted, and we have thus so far been able only to handle import shipments, says Einar Longva, APG Logistics managing director.
-The process has been going on for several weeks, and we are now expecting the process to be completed by around week 41. We are keen to see the opening of our export business as this is really where the crucial market opportunities are.
-We are already now in talks with several parties in the exporting industries, and among these exporters of pharmaceuticals and Norwegian salmon represent business segments with huge growth potentials well-suited to our state-of-the-art facilities, says Mr Longva.
As for import volumes during the first months of operation, these are up to budgets and directed to APG Logistics' facilities by the cargo handling agents at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Cargo Center and Spirit Air Cargo Handling.
