Sep 14, 2010 (newstodate): The Danish GSE manufacturer, Vestergaard Company reports a significant increase in sales of aircraft de-icers in virtually all their winter airport markets.
In particular, Vestergaards's newest de-icer in the Elephant range of aircraft de-icers, the Sigma has caught the attention of airport winter operations managers world-wide.
A newly delivered Sigma to Greenland features Vestergaard's Forced Air system, for blowing away snow, and the regional Norwegian carrier Wideroe has ordered a fleet of Sigmas with proportional mixing system, a feature significantly reducing glycol consumption.
Prior to this upcoming winter, Air France is taking delivery of a Sigma for their regional operation at Montpellier, and the French company Manustra has ordered a Sigma for Le Bourget from December.
