Sep 10, 2010 (newstodate): The Danish forwarding and logistics provider Scan Global Logistics is playing a significant role on the ongoing global relief operations to Pakistan.
On August 28, 2010, the company chartered an Etihad Crystal Cargo Airbus A330-200F aircraft to transport some 60 tonnes of emergency supplies from Denmark's Billund Airport to Karachi, Pakistan, which happened to be also the new aircraft's first commercial operation.
During the first weeks of September, Scan Global Logistics also managed one Boeing 747 and one Boeing 777 freighter for transport of BP-5 high protein biscuits to Pakistan, as well as one Boeing 747 and one Airbus A300 freighter flight from Amsterdam with BP-5 biscuits for Pakistan.
