Sep 02, 2010 (newstodate): Denmark's Billund Airport is seeing cargo volumes soaring month after month in 2010.
For August, the latest statistics show growth rates in volumes by 72.1 and 19.9 percent, y-o-y, for imports and exports, respectively, while total volumes were up 45.2 percent to 5,845 tonnes.
Totals included 3,555 tones of imports and 2,490 tonnes of exports.
This was the eighth month in succession marked by growth, bringing January-August total volumes to 39,601 tonnes - up 36.3 percent.
All through 2010, import volumes have been rising fast, reaching 64.8 percent, y-0-y, during the first eight months, with export volumes trailing behind at a growth rate by 12 percent.
