Sep 14, 2010 (newstodate): The Danish charter carrier and ACMI provider, Jet Time has landed a significant contract marking its determined entrance into the air cargo market alongside its primary passenger charter activities.
Since the start of September, Jet Time has based its Boeing 737-300QC freighter at Liege, operating flights for TNT between Liege and Rome five times weekly.
-This short-term ACMI contract effective till Christmas marks our break-through into the cargo business that has been developing with the introduction of our QC aircraft acquired in March 2010, says Steen Elmer Jensen, Jet Time Sales Manager, Special Charters ACMI & Cargo.
-The contract is a perfect match for us as it keeps the QC aircraft busy during the slack season for tourist charters, while we will need the aircraft for passenger transportation again as the new season start after Christmas.
-While the QC aircraft is now fully dedicated to serving TNT at Liege, it will of course be available for ad-hoc flights during the day as we see opportunities in the market, says Mr Jensen.
Jet Time, in the air since 2006, operates a fleet comprising five Boeing 737-300 passenger aircraft as well as one Boeing 737-300QC aircraft.
