Sep 29, 2010 (newstodate): A Chinese company has been selected by the Belarus state to prepare Minsk International Airport to be able to handle Airbus A380 aircraft.
The contract is based on the framework agreement between China and Belarus, and will include the construction of a second runway at the airport, capable of handling the A380, a new passenger terminal and other pertinent infrastructure work.
Minsk International Airport currently operates a 3,640m runway.
