Sep 20, 2010 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier, mostly known for its rapid expansion of the route net, is reportedly considering to cut down on routes from Tallinn Airport in neighboring Estonia.
Effective from the start of November, with the coming winter schedule, airBaltic will pull out from the routes from Tallinn to Stockholm in Sweden opened only on June 1, 2010 with five weekly rotations, and to Turku and Oulu in Finland, while flights from Tallinn to Lappeenranta in Finland will stop from October 1, 2010, already.
airBaltic opened its new base with three aircraft stationed at at Estonia's Tallinn Airport by June 1, 2010, proclaiming Estonia to be within its core market and heralding the opening of two more routes from Tallinn, including the route to Oulu.
