Aug 19, 2010 (newstodate): Lithuania's Vilnius Airport is continuing this year's growth in air cargo volumes through July.
A total of 435 tonnes of cargo and mail was handled at Vilnius Airport, which was an increase by 23.5 percent, y-o-y.
In July, mail volumes, 118 tonnes, remained unchanged while growth was secured by a 34.9 percent increase in air cargo volumes, 317 tonnes.
During the first seven months of this year, the airport thus handled 2,900 tonnes of cargo and mail - an increase by 24.8 percent, y-o-y.
The growth in the seven-month period was also driven primarily by cargo that grew no less than 32.8 percent, y-o-y, while air mail grew less dramatically by 10.3 percent.
