Aug 06, 2010 (newstodate): The Ukrainean privately-owned airline Windrose has decided on a major aircraft fleet reshuffle.
Launched in 2008 and based at Kiev, the carrier operates a fleet comprising five MD-80 version aircraft as well as two Embraer 195 aircraft.
In addition, Windrose has one Airbus A320 on a wet-lase arrangement with SmartLynx.
Plans are now to seek contracts for placing two MD-82 aircraft on dry lease as well as placing the two Embraer 195 aircraft on dry lease arrangements.
Instead, Windrose will go for leasing up to four Airbus A320 or A321 aircraft as the MD-80 and Embraer aircraft are withdrawn from the carrier.
