Aug 7, 2010 (newstodate): Surprising news from the Balkan region tell of a new close relationship between Serbia's JAT and Montenegro's Montenegro Airlines.
The CEO of the Serb carrier JAT has broken the news that the two carriers will enter a close partnership and pool their aircraft fleets from the start of this year's winter program from October 31.
The close cooperation should result in more destinations and lower fares from airports in the two countries.
JAT Airways with HQ at Belgrade operates a fleet of 14 aircraft including four ATR-72 and 10 Boeing 737-300 and will take in two Boeing 737-700 from next month.
Montenegro Airlines with HQ at Podgorica operates a fleet of three Embraer 195 and five Fokker 100 aircraft.
