Aug 10, 2010 (newstodate): With 10 Airbus A380 deliveries so far in 2010, the aircraft manufacturer is on tracks to meet its promise of reaching at least 20 deliveries this year.
On July 16, Airbus handed over two fresh Airbus A380 aircraft to customers Singapore Airlines that now has 11 units, and Lufthansa that how operates two units.
With these latest deliveries, a total of 33 Airbus A380 are now in commercial service with five airlines also including Amirates with 11, Air France with three and Qantas with six units.
Together the five A380 operators serve 18 major cities worldwide every day, and a total of more than six mio passengers have till mid-July experienced the mega-aircraft on 156,000 flights to 20 major destinations around the world.
Emirates remains the single largest A380 customer with orders for a total of 90 aircraft, while Airbus has so far landed 234 orders for the A380 from 17 customers.
