Aug 06, 2010 (newstodate): The smoke veiling large parts of Russia is now disturbing the operations of Moscow's three airport.
Both Moscow Domodedovo and Vnukovo are especially hard hit by the smoke that has brought visibility down below acceptable levels, and the airports are now leaving it to cockpit crews to determine whether to operate in manual mode or seek alternative destinations.
Sheremetyevo is, however, less hit but has now announced that it is no longer able to take in diverted traffic from the other two airports.
