Aug 12, 2010 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Polet Airlines, based at Voronezh, has now introduced its first SAAB 340A in commercial service.
The airline acquired two SAAB 340A aircraft formerly operated by American Eagle, and the first unit has now been put into service on the route between Voronezh and Moscow, and the SAAB 340A will also bne oprated on routes from Moscow to Lipetsk, Belgorod, and Ulyanovsk.
Also in the fleet of Polet Airlines are six SAAB 2000.
The company is keen to add more SAAB 340 aircraft, negotiating with SAAB Aircraft Leasing for the lease of from seven up to 25 SAAB 340 aircraft.
