Aug 27, 2010 (newstodate): Russia experienced fewer aircraft accidents, but more incidents, during the first half of 2010, compared to last year.
Accidents were down 30 percent, y-o-y, in numbers, and the number of fatalities dropped by 50 percent during the same period.
On the other hand, the number of aviation incidents rose by 51 percent, including "serious incidents" that were up by 38 percent.
