Aug 04, 2010 (newstodate): Russia's Vladivostok International Airport has now secured the financing of its modernization plans.
The country's national development bank Vnesheconombank will provide some 30 mio USD to secure the reconstruction of the airport that will become the gateway to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit on Russky Island in 2012.
Vladivostok International Airport is supported by Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport that will invest in the construction of a new terminal, supported by the bank funds.
The Russian Railways have also announced their intention to construct a railroad to the new terminal, and further down the line are plans for construction of a logistics facility to be based in the airport.
