Aug 05, 2010 (newstodate): Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport is seeing its share from the global recovery in air cargo volumes.
A total of 35,028 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport during the first six months of 2010, which was 9.2 percent down on H1 in 2009.
Only in February did the airport see a positive growth, while the other for months have remained in the red, including June when volumes were down seven percent and April that was the worst hit with a decline in volumes by 26.2 percent.
In H1, international cargo dropped 8.9 percent to 21,620 tonnes, while domestic cargo fell 9.6 percent to 14,208 tonnes.
