Aug 30, 2010 (newstodate): The Lithuanian carrier Star1 Airlines is expecting a busy winter season, more than doubling its air traffic from Vilnius Airport.
From end of October, the low-cost carrier will operate from Vilnius to London daily, from the beginning of November three flights to Dublin will be operated, and from the start of January Star1 Airlines will offer three weekly flights to Milan.
During this winter season, Star1 Airlines plans to introduce flights to Munich, while flights from Vilnius to Girona, Heraklion, Palermo and Edinburgh will return in summer 2011.
In addition, Star1 Airlines will also operate flights to Edinburgh during the Christmas period.
Star1 Airlines was established in 2009 when the holding company Star Team Group purchased the company HC Airways for the purpose of promoting and developing the inbound and outbound tourism in Lithuania.
